Lindsey Bustamante, LCSW

Welcome. I'm Lindsey and I'm so glad you're here.
There may be many reasons that you bring you to this page anxiety, overthinking, painful memories from the past replaying in your mind. For some, there may be difficulty speaking up for what you want or need in relationships, maybe not even being able to articulate what you need because you've learned to push it aside for so long. I'd be willing to bet that you are a kind, loving person to those around you, but when it comes to yourself, you can be critical, judgmental and harsh. Pleasing others and holding it all together can be exhausting, sometimes leading to low motivation or energy, fatigue and burnout.
If you're here as a partner in a relationship, you may be here because your relationship is stuck in painful patterns; feeling misunderstood, disconnected, or caught in the same arguments that never seem to resolve. You might find yourselves reacting in ways you don't fully understand, struggling to communicate without things escalating or feeling distance where there was once closeness. Something that used to feel easy is now really hard. While these kinds of difficulties in relationships are common, they feel isolating and discouraging when you find yourself there.
Therapy is a space where you no longer have to hold everything together on your own. Whether you are seeking support individually or within your relationship, we can work together to understand the emotional patterns that have shaped your experiences and begin creating new ways of healing. With greater awareness comes the ability to experience more compassion, clarity and confidence. I integrate approaches including IFS, EMDR, ERP, and DBT to support meaningful, lasting change. I offer both in-person sessions in Alpharetta and Telehealth throughout the state of Georgia to individuals and couples, and I invite you to reach out for a free 15-minute consultation to see if working together feels right for you.
